Clayton Hired to Reconfigure Egyptian Helicopter

On Wednesday, the Department of Defense announced that it has awarded a small Peachtree, Ga., business -- Clayton International, -- a $7 million cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order to provide depot-level maintenance for the Egyptian Air Force's H-3 Variant Helicopter Program under the Foreign Military Sales Program.

The program in question provides maintenance services for Egypt's fleet of Sea King helicopters �(built by the United Technologies (NYSE: UTX  ) subsidiary, Sikorsky). The present contract specifically hires Clayton to reconfigure a single MK-2E helicopter to the MK-2 utility configuration�, including conducting any rewiring of the helicopter that is necessary.�

Work on the contract is expected to be complete by December 2014.
