Yahoo! Acquires 2 More Mobile Start-Ups

Yahoo!  (NASDAQ: YHOO  ) has picked up two more mobile start-ups:  GoPollGo and MileWise. Both companies will no longer support their services as they transition into Yahoo!, according to posts on their sites.

For two years, GoPollGo has worked to help media properties and brands get feedback. The company sorted pollers' data by metrics such as age, gender, location, and browser.

Meanwhile, MileWise focused on the travel industry, working for four years to help people "get the most value" out of all their reward programs, including frequent flyer miles, credit cards, and hotel points.

While Yahoo! may integrate both companies' technologies into Yahoo!'s properties, it may also be that Yahoo! is looking for good talent. The Next Web reported in October 2012 that MileWise had cut a deal with Google to help the search giant power its travel services. Also, it's no secret that CEO Marissa Mayer is looking to turn Yahoo! into a mobile-first company, and GoPollGo's mobile experience could help.

Yahoo! startup acquisitions this year include Summly for $30 million.
