GE, Bank of America active in after hours

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) � General Electric Co. and Bank of America Corp. were active in late trading Friday after U.S. stocks closed down for the week.

General Electric GE �edged up 0.1%, bouncing back from a 1.3% decline in regular hours. GE�s board of directors on Friday declared a quarterly dividend of 17 cents a share.

Bank of America BAC also recovered from losses in regular trading to add 0.3%. Bank of America was among the several large banks that reached a $26 billion mortgage settlement with the U.S. government on Thursday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA , the Standard & Poor�s 500 SPX �and the Nasdaq Composite COMP �all retreated for the week as worries about Greece�s financial crisis re-emerged. Read MarketWatch�s stock market review �
