Could This Town Be America's Next Oil Hub?

Don't look now, but Albany, NY is becoming one of the most important oil hubs in the United States. Sure, it may not have the capacity of a hub like Cushing, Oklahoma, but it does have one thing that all the others don't: access to East Coast Refineries. Albany's port along the Hudson River acts as one of the key points of transport for Bakken Crude that moves by rail to refineries both on the Atlantic Shore of the United States, as well as in the St. Lawrence Seaway in Canada.

For investors, this could be a unique opportunity, because there are only a small handful of players in this space. In this video, Fool.com contributors Tyler Crowe and Aimee Duffy discuss which companies have the in-roads at the Albany hub, and what could be in store for this emerging oil hub.

The surge in American energy production has created monumental shifts in the way the energy markets in the U.S. work today, and this shift provides investors massive opportunities to get in on the ground floor of America's Energy Renaissance.
